Makeover Coming to Nutrition Labels

Makeover Coming to Nutrition LabelsComing soon to a store near you will be a nutrition labeling makeover. That is right… a makeover is coming to nutrition labels by the slimy FDA to make it easier to read labels in stores. It is to make it easier to see certain nutrients in the nutritional facts on the back of products.

Some changes will include a bigger print of vital stuff like calories, and serving size. Certain vitamins, like vitamin D, will get bigger printed labels as well. Also, new rules will require an entire can of soda to be one serving size to make counting easier.

This is the first big move the FDA has made since instituting the labeling system more than two decades ago. Obviously, when a change comes from the government, it is usually because the pattern of the people has changed.

The proposed labels would also note how much added sugar is in a product. Right now, it’s hard to know what is naturally occurring sugar and what has been added by the manufacturer.

With so-called conspiracy theorists making abounds, and all kinds of doctors from naturopaths to MDs to dentist all preaching alternative health and better eating, sooner or later, people will break through the tradition old medicines and poor eating lifestyle.

Read the labels, you gotta read the labels, if you don’t read the labels you can end up getting poisoned.
