Hot Pockets: Not Fit for Human Food Says USDA

Hot Pockets: Not Fit for Human Food Says USDAYou may or may not have heard about the recent recall by one of my favorite snack/processed foods, the POWERFUL Hot Pocket. Hot Pockets recalled certain products after finding their meat to be unfit for human food.

Vegetarians and vegans are having a field day, “WE TOLD YOU SO…”

Nestle announced yesterday that they were voluntarily recalling two of the snizack (snack) products following a widespread meat recall. We have to give them props and credit because at least they voluntarily did it.

Most companies out there without any scruples would have had to been choked out of the recall. This recall is primarily for their Philly Steak and Cheese Hot Pockets, in their three different sizes. Also the Croissant Crust Philly Steak and Cheese ‘flavor’ was under fire in the two-pack box.

Hot Pockets always had a special place with me for their commercials, but also because a college friend use to buy them for his daughter and when one of the guys came in and ate her Hot Pocket, my friend got… HOT!

WHO ATE MY BABY’S HOT POCKET, is all we heard coming out of the kitchen.

I hope she no longer eats Hot Pockets, especially since she is a great college basketball player today! At any rate, this is not Nestle’s first recall under the Hot Pocket. They also had to recall Rancho Feeding as well.

I’m weary or leary (that is very cautioned and concerned) when dealing with a food chain that constantly has recalls.

In a release Friday, the Department of Agriculture reported that Rancho Feeding was recalling about 8.7 million pounds of meat because it “processed diseased and unsound animals, and carried out these activities without the benefit or full benefit of federal inspection.”

The USDA (Department of Agriculture) noted that the products are “unfit for human food.” You can give it to the dogs and cats, but not you! If you have these products you can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or call Nestlé’s consumer services line at (800) 392-4057.

Healthwise, I would do some sort of cleanse, take some anti bacterial and viral herbs, and increase my dosage of nutrients and antioxidants!

From Youngevity Products it would look like this:

Detox

Antiviral herbs

Healthy Start Nutrients

Antioxidants

Watch what you eat, and what you eat will be watchful of you!
